CRAFT WORKSHOP 2008 with Pauline
In 2007, the fashion industry went into overdrive, flooding the High Street with bejewelled and heavily embellished handbags. The move toward creative pockets, useful belts, stylish handles and surface texture will bring a wider choice for the consumer. Studs and glitter are being replaced with bolder hardware. The application of double topstitching in a quilted design, clever tucks and gathering are some of the main features designers are presenting, coupled with the manipulation of fabric. The result is a wonderful and exciting display of fashionable handbags, so with that information in mind this year’s programme will include separate pocket and handle workshops. Trendy Seasonal Handbags
Here is the opportunity to make a different bag on each handbag workshop. The patterns vary to help you gain confidence whilst learning new techniques. The workshop also introduces you to the wide range of interfacings available for handbag making with practical advice on how and when to use them.
